DESCRIPTION
Seachem MetroPlex is a versatile and effective medication designed to tackle a range of protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases in fish, including Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, and Ichthyophthirius. With 70% metronidazole as its active ingredient, MetroPlex is known for its safety and efficacy. This medication can be used either by dosing directly into the aquarium water or by mixing it with food, making it ideal for treating both internal and external infections. It's beneficial for tanks that include invertebrates, as it can be incorporated into medicated food mixes without harming these delicate creatures.
Seachem MetroPlex is gentle—there is minimal risk of overdosing, which makes it a reliable option for fish treatment. It doesn't adversely affect the biological filter, and any residual medication can be easily removed from the water with activated carbon. When used in food, blending it with a tablespoon of frozen food can enhance its effectiveness significantly if combined with GarlicGuard or Entice to improve palatability. MetroPlex is an excellent choice for ensuring your fish remains healthy and free from troublesome infections.

SAFETY & PRECAUTIONS
- Remove all invertebrates from the tank before use, as they are highly sensitive to the medication.
- To prevent medication interference, turn off UV and ozone filters and remove chemical filtration (e.g., MatrixCarbon and Purigen) during treatment.
- After the treatment period, activated filter carbon is used to remove any residual medication from the water.
- Avoid inhaling dust from the product. Use a mask or ensure adequate ventilation when handling MetroPlex.
- Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
- Store MetroPlex in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
- Monitor fish for any signs of stress during treatment. If stress occurs, perform a partial water change to stabilize conditions.
