• Birds need time to adapt to a new diet. Mix the old food with the new one. In a slow way, increase the amount of the new food as directed.
  
• Offer only the recommended serving size for the best results. Limiting food portions can encourage your bird to try a new diet.
  
• Watch your bird closely to ensure it is eating the exact food and not picking out the old food.
  
• A successful diet switch may result in a color change in the droppings. The color may typically turn brown or reddish-brown.
  
• By day 21, your bird should be fully adjusted to the new food. Continue feeding only the new diet from this point.
